Founded in 1974, Osprey has been making packs for over 40 years, with every product design passing through the hands of Osprey’s owner and founder, Mike Pfotnhauer. This scrupulous attention to detail and quality makes us proud to announce that we are now stocking Osprey hiking packs at Outdoor Action!

From the lightweight Hikelite pack to the heavy duty Transporter, we’ve got something that will suit your next outdoor adventure, and every adventure after that! As Osprey back the quality of their packs with their ‘all mighty guarantee’, meaning that whatever happens, Osprey has your back.

Let’s take a look at what we’ve got in stock!

    Day Packs

For everyday use and light hiking we have the Hikelite, Tempestand Talon backpacks.

The Hikelite is the smallest and lightest pack with two size options of either 18L or 26L capacity. It features Osprey’s incredibly ventilated AirSpeed back panel, meaning you won’t have to deal with sweaty discomfort.

The Tempest and Talon backpacks are also great lightweight packs for short hiking trips or everyday use. Adding slightly more volume, the Talon comes in either 22L or 33L capacity and the Tempest in 20L or 30L. These packs are very similar with the Talon being designed more so for men and the Tempest for women. You’ll find that both of them feature a bit more support around the waist when compared to the Hikelite. And the two larger capacity packs feature a top-lid storage.

    Hiking Packs

If you’re going away for more than a day or just looking to carry more, the next stop is the Rook/Renn and the Stratos/Sirrus. As with the Tempest and Talon, the pack names are geared slightly towards men or women, apart from that they’re pretty similar. Being aware of this makes it slightly less complicated when choosing the right pack.

The Stratos and Sirrus packs provide a slight increase in carry capacity from the everyday packs bumping them up to 36L each.

Jumping up quite a bit in capacity, the Rook and Renn packs offer 65L of packing space.

    Advanced Hiking Packs

At the top of the range for hiking packs, we have the Atmos and Aether. The Atmos provides 65L of storage capacity and the Aether provides 70L. Both of these packs feature Osprey’s anti-gravity technology, to make it more comfortable for long hiking trips.

    Rugged Travel

If you’re looking for a pack to throw around and haul all over the countryside then perhaps the Transporter 65 or 95L is for you! Being the first place winner of the prestigious 2018 Carryology Best Travel Luggage category, you can be sure that you’re buying a great pack. Made from dual-sided TPU coating, these packs are designed to be tough. The Transporter has a variety of ways it can be carried, from backpack to duffel, making it comfortable to transport no matter the situation.

If you’re still not sure what pack is right for you, here’s a handy guide from Osprey which will help you narrow down what you need. For further information on pack specifications and features, please check our website.
