To cater for the full range of mountain conditions - warm and cold, wet and dry, active and static - their Storm Mitt uses a carefully engineered combination of synthetic technologies.

The shell is built from tough ripstop nylon with a waterproof and breathable Porelle® Dry polyurethane membrane. This is partnered with flexible Porelle® inserts, which are sandwiched between the shell and lining, to increase protection without compromising the through-flow of sweat. Warm, durable and highly breathable, the new mitt also features textured polyurethane reinforcements at the palm and thumb, plus a grip-friendly pre-curved fit with adjustable wrist straps and simple cinch-lock closures at the cuff.
While a mitt always trades a little dexterity for increased warmth, the Rab Storm Mitt comes with excellent flexibility, a user-friendly weight of just 135g and ultra-practical Stratus™ sheet insulation for versatile year-round use.
