Description
Description
The Petzl Glacier Linkin Ice Axe is a great choice for glacier travel. Its curved head is designed to fit comfortably in your hand, providing excellent grip in the piolet-canne position. Equipped with a removable leash, the lightweight ice axe offers high-quality anchoring in hard snow and ice. The leash can be adjusted from 50 to 75 cm in length to help prevent dropping the axe. Available in four lengths (50, 60, 68, and 75 cm), the GLACIER LINKIN is made with a stainless steel spike and tapered pick for durability and reliability.
Features
-
Lightweight:
- Openings in both the pick and spike contribute to reduced weight and allow for easy attachment of a carabiner.
- The 50 cm version weighs in at just 340 g, making it exceptionally light to carry.
-
Comfortable grip:
- The upper section of the pick features a contoured surface, carefully shaped to sit comfortably in the hand and deliver a secure grip in the piolet-canne position.
- Strategically cut grooves along the shaft enhance grip during technical ice climbing manoeuvres.
- To minimise the risk of accidental drops, the LINKIN leash is included; it is fully removable and adjustable in length between 50 and 75 cm.
-
High-quality anchoring:
- The steel pick is finely tapered to 3 mm at the tip, ensuring reliable and solid anchoring in ice.
- A stainless steel spike is engineered to pierce through firm snow and ice with ease.
- The robust adze is built for durability and performs efficiently when carving out steps.
- Available in four different lengths: 50, 60, 68, and 75 cm.
- Supplied with protective caps for both the pick and spike of the ice axe.
