When the weather is kinder, it functions comfortably as an outer layer, and when the skies open up, it transforms into a superbly insulating mid-layer beneath a protective shell.

The HD® Wool insulation is responsibly sourced from a woollen mill in Yorkshire, situated just across the Pennines from Mountain Equipment’s Manchester base. Wool provides numerous advantages in performance garments, such as excellent insulation, natural moisture resistance and breathability. With a consistent 100g/m² fill, the Andola achieves an optimal balance—offering dependable warmth for sub-zero hill days without compromising on bulk or mobility for more technical excursions.

The outer is crafted from a lightweight 20-denier nylon fabric that resists wind, allows for high breathability, and incorporates mechanical stretch to maximise freedom of movement. A PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR) finish enhances its environmental credentials.

The Mountain fit ensures ample room for dynamic movement and strategic layering, while the insulated Mountain Hood adds dependable protection, minimising the need to grab a shell at the first gust of wind.

• The outer is made from lightweight 20-denier Ripstop Nylon that resists wind and stretches mechanically, treated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR.
  The inner lining is a 20-denier lightweight woven fabric that enhances moisture management, comfort and packability, also fluorocarbon-free.

Patterning & Design

• The Mountain fit includes pre-shaped and articulated sleeves for enhanced movement.
• Intended to be worn comfortably over base and mid-layers, and fits neatly under a shell in severe weather.
