Materials

• The GORE-TEX Pro fabric is waterproof, windproof, and breathable, offering guaranteed protection from rain and snow.
• The jacket features a robust, hard-wearing fabric throughout, which is designed to resist abrasion and provide enhanced defence against strong winds.
• The primary fabric is 80D GORE-TEX Pro (154gsm), boasting a three-layer waterproof and breathable construction with Gore’s durable water repellent finish. It has a hydrostatic head of 28,000mm and a RET of less than 7.
• All seams are fully taped to ensure water cannot seep through.
• The inner backer is solution dyed, offering environmental and performance benefits.

Patterning & Design

• The jacket features a Mountain Fit with pre-shaped, articulated sleeves that allow for unrestricted movement and enough room to accommodate winter layers beneath.
• This is a slightly roomier and more generously cut jacket, particularly around the waist and hem. Unlike the brand’s Alpine Fit jackets, which tend to be more tapered, this fit is ideal for individuals with a broader build or those layering heavily underneath. It may feel oversized if worn with minimal clothing.
• YKK® water-resistant pit zips beneath the arms allow for controlled airflow and increased breathability when needed.
• The Storm Construction represents the brand’s most advanced build for maximum weather protection and long-term durability.

Hood Configuration

• The Mountain Helmet Compatible Hood is designed to be worn comfortably over a climbing helmet when necessary.
• The hood is fully adjustable, featuring a rear volume adjuster along with two adjusters at the front.
• High modulus elastic is used to minimise flapping drawcords.
• A laminated, wired visor keeps the hood's shape and preserves peripheral vision in gusty conditions or when wearing eyewear.
• The rear adjustment cord runs through a concealed internal channel.
• The face panel is seamless and lined with outer shell fabric for comfort and durability.
• Internal Cohaesive® cord locks and a clean cord tunnel enhance adjustability.
• A roll-away tab allows the hood to be neatly stowed when not in use.

Pocket Configuration

• Two external hand pockets are equipped with YKK® AquaGuard® zips, internal storm flaps, drainage channels, and zip garages. They are placed for accessibility while wearing a backpack or harness and are spacious enough to store gloves.
• Two external chest pockets also feature YKK® AquaGuard® zips, internal storm flaps, drainage channels, and zip garages. They are large enough to hold items like a map, GPS device, or similar essentials.
• A ski pass pocket is located on the sleeve, secured with a YKK® water-resistant zip and garage.
• One internal YKK® zipped security pocket provides safe storage for smaller valuables.
• All pockets are fully laminated and waterproof by design.
• The Stratum pocket construction allows for increased internal volume, making the most of the available space.

Centre Front Zip

• A full-length, two-way YKK® AquaGuard® zip runs down the centre front, complete with a laser-cut internal storm flap for added protection.
• A press stud fastener at the hem prevents the zip from riding up during movement.

Cuffs & Sleeves Configuration

• Sleeves are articulated and pre-shaped to support natural arm movement, remaining comfortable when reaching upward or using trekking poles.
• Cuffs are adjustable and feature a bonded finish for a streamlined fit.
• Bar tack reinforcement on the cuff pull tabs ensures added strength and longevity.

Waist & Hem Construction

• An internal snow skirt can be zipped out when not required. It includes an elasticated, adjustable hem, along with a YKK® zip and snap fastening to block out snow.
• Dual tether drawcords at the hem allow for fine-tuned internal adjustment.
• The hem is bonded for a clean, durable finish.
