The BioLite AlpenGlow 500 Lantern offers ambient and task-based lighting all inspired by nature. The rechargeable lantern features high-efficiency ChromaReal LED technology to accurately render the colours in your environment with the glow of warm, natural light. 

All you need to do is give your lantern a shake and the internal accelerometer which will unlock additional features such as the Candle Flicker, or a mesmerising rotation of warm colour. ChromaReal LED Technology

ChromaReal is a LED technology that BioLite use in their products to supply complete and accurate lighting for your needs. 

ChromaReal has a Colour-Rendering Index (CRI) of 90 or higher. CRI is a measure of how full-spectrum the emitted light is and how true the colours will appear. 

When you are using your AlpenGlow at night, ChromaReal technology helps colours pop, textures stand out, and finishes have more depth and radiance. This can really come in handy for things like cooking at night and photography.
