Description

Whether tackling K2 or Denali, the Iceline stands as the pinnacle of extreme mountaineering performance, crafted specifically for the harshest and most frigid conditions.

Belonging to the Extreme Expedition sleeping bag series, the Iceline has been engineered for high-altitude mountaineering and prolonged use, thriving in all but the absolute coldest climates on Earth.

Filled with 994g of top-tier, minimum 800-fill power, CODEX-certified European goose down, and clad in a robust yet featherweight GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® 10 denier outer fabric, the Iceline delivers exceptional warmth in severe cold while remaining impressively breathable and water resistant.

Extreme Expedition sleeping bags such as the Iceline are constructed using the brand’s most advanced baffle configuration. V-shaped baffles across the chest and upper leg regions maximise down insulation and remove cold spots by ensuring a high level of overlap. Trapezoid baffles in the bag’s midsection help maintain even distribution of down and prevent it from shifting. Full-length baffles along both sides support the bag’s optimised, box-like shape. A complex seven-baffle hood system concentrates insulation around the head, providing superior warmth and protection during extended periods of use. Meanwhile, a six-baffle design in the anatomically contoured foot box delivers targeted insulation to keep the feet warm.

The placement and density of down are meticulously varied throughout the bag to counter compression underneath while promoting maximum loft above. Internally, the trusted EXL® elasticated stitching system works to minimise dead air spaces, cut down on drafts, and draw the inner lining away from the down fill, enhancing loft and retaining heat efficiently.

A full-length Gemini™ zip baffle significantly curbs heat loss in a traditionally vulnerable area, while the magnetic Lode Lock™ closure and adjustable collar drawcords have been designed for intuitive use, even in darkness. Inside the bag, a mesh pocket and a secure zipped pocket offer convenient storage for essential items.

The generous Expedition fit offers ample room for a comfortable night’s sleep and allows for additional down layers to be worn inside. A spacious foot box with a breathable GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® lining is designed to accommodate boot liners or damp items with ease.

With a Good Night’s Sleep Temperature rating of -30°C (-22°F), the Iceline proves itself to be an exceptionally warm, highly functional, and remarkably resilient sleeping bag—perfect for mountaineers pushing their boundaries in the most extreme alpine settings.

Detail Shots

detail shot Vertically aligned V-baffles on the chest and foot piece, 14:7cm Trapezoid baffles throughout all other parts of the bag results in minimal down migration and maximum possible warmth in all situations.
detail shots Our Lode Lock collar closure with its auto-locating closure combines all the advantages of a magnetic fastener with those of a mechanical lock. Its one-handed quick release closure uses magnets to draw the locking mechanism together and ensure that once connected it cannot be accidentally opened.
detail shot 7 baffles provide exceptional down control for performance and excellent insulation. The DC7 LV hood reduces weight, has less deformation when cinched down small, and offers single handed closure and easy-run dual tether draw cords for greater ease of use in extreme conditions.
