Rab Ascent 700 Down Sleeping Bag (-9C)

The Ascent 700 is a highly adaptable sleeping bag, designed with a spacious and comfortable wide mummy fit. It is filled with 700g of 650FP European duck down, offering ample insulation for cooler temperatures. With room for additional layers when required, it is perfectly suited for three-season use, particularly during spring conditions akin to those found in the UK, New Zealand, or Scandinavia.

The bag features a lightweight and robust recycled Pertex® Quantum outer fabric, paired with a recycled nylon lining. The construction incorporates trapezoidal boxwall baffles that align efficiently to promote maximum loft of the hydrophobic duck down while minimising the formation of cold spots. Hand-filled in the UK, every down bag ensures the insulation has never been compressed prior to use, maintaining its loft and warmth for optimal performance.

The generously proportioned mummy fit, combined with a wide foot box, creates a spacious and comfortable sleeping environment. A close-fitting neck baffle helps to retain warmth when temperatures drop. The design includes a three-quarter length YKK zip with a down-filled baffle to eliminate draughts.

Practical features include an internal zipped stash pocket, suitable for storing essentials such as a phone or headlamp. The bag comes with a cotton storage sack for at-home use and a compression stuff sack for portability and protection during travel. For those travelling with a companion or desiring extra space, the left and right zipped versions of the bag can be joined together.
