Mountain Equipment Earthrise Hooded Men's Jacket

A lightweight, compressible, and highly adaptable down-insulated jacket crafted entirely from recycled materials.

Made with 100% recycled down and polyamide, the Earthrise Hooded Jacket is designed for simple, functional insulation. It offers a comfortable fit and optimised warmth, making it great for camping, ski tours, and cold-weather hikes.

The Earthrise Men's Hooded Jacket has 155 grams of 700 fill power down, without any chemical treatments. While not the warmest jacket available, it balances warmth with a lightweight, packable design, making it an ideal backup for longer trips.

The Mountain HC Insulated Hood provides extra warmth and protection, adding versatility. The jacket is windproof and has a fluorocarbon-free water repellent finish, handling light snow or showers with ease.

With two hand warmer pockets, an outer chest pocket, and an internal zipped pocket, the jacket packs into one of its pockets and can be stowed on a harness, making it a practical insulated layer for the mountains.

Insulation

• A total of 155g (size large) of recycled down, boasting a minimum fill power of 700, offers outstanding warmth while keeping both weight and pack size to a minimum.
• The insulation is carefully distributed using a baffle-by-baffle method, ensuring that warmth is maximised relative to the down’s weight.
• Only premium quality 100% recycled down is selected—thoroughly cleaned, sterilised, and sorted to prevent it from going to landfill.

Materials

• The outer shell features a 100% recycled Earthrise 20 Denier fabric that is both lightweight and resistant to down migration, treated with a Fluorocarbon-free DWR for added water repellency.
• The 100% recycled 20 Denier woven lining provides excellent moisture management, comfort, and compressibility.

Patterning & Design

• Stitch-through baffle construction is used throughout, delivering effective warmth while allowing full mobility and maintaining a compact pack size.
• The jacket is tailored to be worn comfortably over both base layers and mid-layers, depending on conditions.

Hood Configuration

• The Mountain HC Insulated Hood is fully adjustable and designed to function seamlessly with or without a helmet, providing sustained comfort and protection.

Pocket Configuration

• Two zipped handwarmer pockets and a zipped chest pocket allow easy access to essential items.
• An internal zipped security pocket is included for safeguarding valuables.
  The jacket conveniently packs down into one of its hand pockets, which features dual karabiner carry loops for easy transport.

Centre Front Zip

• A two-way YKK® moulded front zip is designed for smooth operation, even while wearing gloves.
• An insulated internal zip baffle is integrated to reduce heat loss and prevent cold air from entering.

Cuffs & Sleeves Configuration

• Elasticated cuffs enhance warmth and allow for effortless use with gloves.
• Sleeves are shaped to support natural movement and unrestricted arm mobility.

Waist & Hem Construction

• Dual tether drawcords at the hem enable precise adjustment and help retain body heat.
