Combining 700FP down in low-bulk stitch-through baffles with 2-layer, waterproof and windproof Pertex® Shield fabric, it is built to keep wearers warm and dry on wild winter hikes. Re-engineered for improved repairability, it is packed with heat-retaining details such as a cosy neck baffle and close-fitting inner cuffs. With a longer length and regular fit for layering over other garments, the Valiance gives a reassuring, protective feel for striding out beneath the darkest skies.

A 2-layer waterproof and windproof fabric technology with a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish, rated to a hydrostatic head of 20,000 mm and breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24 hrs.
Rab's fluorocarbon-free fabrics are completely free of fluorocarbons (PFAS), whether in the face fabric, membrane, or backer. PFAS-free means all intentionally added PFAS have been phased out, compliant with current EU and US legislation.
