An active insulation midlayer for people who do not want to stop and swap layers. It wicks hard on a strenuous climb and still holds warmth at a wind-hit belay, which is the whole point on a day that keeps changing.
Key Features
- Octayarn warp-knit lining, a lightweight and highly wicking alternative to traditional polyester fleece
- Octayarn fibres are hollow and multidentate, each with eight cog-like teeth, increasing surface area to trap warm air and move moisture
- Offers the thickness of an 80 denier fibre at half the weight and considerably less bulk
- Knitted without an inner face fabric for unmatched moisture transfer when you are working hard
- Octayarn lining is reversed on the arms to stop it binding on base layers when pulling the jacket on and off
- Lightweight stretch-woven outer protects against light rain, spindrift and cold wind
- Panels of bluesign-approved Pontetorto Tecnostretch fleece under the arms, along the sides and through the hood improve the fit
- Hooded, and cut for fast-moving alpinism and ski mountaineering
The Pontetorto fabric is woven at a family-run mill in Italy.
