Mountain Equipment Orion Women's Jacket

A highly breathable waterproof shell ideal for climbing and mountaineering on big objectives, whether close to home or far from anywhere. Tough, lightweight and highly breathable, the Orion Jacket thrives while climbing, mountaineering and ski touring in the most difficult conditions.

The Orion uses a nanoporous membrane with 10 billion nanopores per square inch, giving excellent breathability whilst maintaining a hydrostatic head of over 20,000 mm. Combined with an exceptionally abrasion-resistant 160 Denier face fabric through the highest wear areas and a 70 Denier fabric through the rest of the body, this is the first time Mountain Equipment has used its highest standards of Storm construction outside of the GORE-TEX PRO range. One of the Orion's standout features is its Super Alpine Hood, a painstakingly developed refuge from the very worst mountain conditions and a hood you can actually climb hard in rather than just hide under.
