Whether you’re up on high alpine slopes, long hut-to-hut tours or on a tough trek, Torstein GTX provides optimum support in all conditions and every trek undertaken with a heavy load.
The extra-stable backpacking boot has a higher-cut shaft for a firm fit on uneven terrain, and even protects feet from water on slopes with a shallow covering of snow. Dachstein uses superior quality suede in the production of Torstein GTX. The leather on the lower part of the shaft is protected from rubble, wear and tear in rocky areas as it is wrapped in a bandage of lightweight and extremely abrasion-proof Lorenzi eFoam.
The new, robust and extremely grippy Vibram®LightWolf sole is ideal for extended treks, and is well-equipped for the challenges posed by ever-changing surfaces underfoot. The new sole and shaft construction of Torstein GTX make it noticeably lighter than comparable competitors.
This boot is fitted with a highly functional GORE-TEX® membrane, making it absolutely watertight, because a tour of several day often takes participants through pouring rain and across crashing streams, Nevertheless, it still retains its breathability in warmer weather.
The boot collar features a sophisticated and stylish Loden inset produced by Loden Steiner of Schladming. Dachstein also produces Torstein GTX in a classic all-leather version. The new backpacking model gives outdoor adventurers footwear they can truly rely on for the duration of a prolonged trekking tour.
Quality is of supreme importance to Dachstein, which is why they only manufacture Torstein GTX in Europe.
