I used these with the "Carn Stratosphere eV Hi" boots. During my trip I went through water that came as high as the logo on these gaiters and my feet and the inside of my boots stayed dry. They also protected my legs from many encounters with gorse bushes. The only issue was that moisture collected on the inside how ever this was better than having wet feet or cut shins.
