Description
The Terra Nova Southern Cross 1 tent is a completely freestanding lightweight tent suitable for 4 season backpacking. Taking its design inspiration from the award winning Laser range of lightweight tents but including an additional pole to provide extra stability for the structure.
Pitching is quick and easy as the flysheet and inner are erected as one, the flysheet and groundsheet are fully tape seam sealed providing you with complete waterproof protection.
Due to its 100% freestanding nature pegging is kept to a minimum when optimising its strength / weight ratio.There is a spacious inner and porch and the porch door can be fixed open in several ways to provide the most suitable weather protection for the current conditions.

- Terra Nova Reflex poles- 7001 T6 extruded aluminium poles that have been proven in independent tests to outlast other poles through extreme conditions.
- Waterbloc fabric (floor)- Designed to be extremely water resistant with a highly specified PU.
- Watershed fabric (fly)- Designed in 1992 by Terra Nova, it is the fist silicone/PU coating hybrid for flysheets. Offers ehanced water resistance and better withstands the effects of UV light.
